We are organizing a pottery class with the master craftsmen of Deruta: a unique Work Experience, see program below:

Saturday, April 26: from 11:00 till 13:00 and from 15:00 till 19:00 (6 hours)

-Working with lathe: introduction and working experience with lathe and molds for casts.

-Painting: introduction to ‘maiolica’ (glaze/varnish and colors), dusting technique, creating of a tile or plate.

Sunday, April 27: from 10:00 till 13:00 and from 15:00 till 18:00 (6 hours)

-Lathe: experiencing the techniques and working with both lathe and molds for casts.

-Painting: making of an elaborated painting on-to a tile or plate.

COSTS: 30,00€/person per day, materials and work included. Each workshop will be held if we have at least 7 participants. Pls. send us your confirmation before April 24th.

Saturday, May 3: participants will receive their pottery works.

Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4: Deruta’s masters craftsmen exhibition - Museo del Vetro in Piegaro.

During Saturday, May 3 and Sunday May 4 guests will have the possibility to have a brief overview of the history of Deruta’s pottery.
