An olive grove to discover : located in a small village in Ginestreto, Castiglion Fosco, the picturesque village near Piegaro famous for its round tower, we find a piece of nature with Umbrian olive groves that visitors receive unique surrounded by hills. The farm "Sergio Vitali" involves the entire family: Sergio, his wife Adriana, and their daughter Luisa, the sister of Sergio Giuliana, are very proud to tell how much passion, dedication and hard work is required to grow olives and getting the extra virgin olive oil "GINESTRELLO". On the same day, olives are picked, and brought to the mill (frantoio) to be pressed, to keep all the characteristics of the so-called green gold! Together, we organize guided tour and tasting, and, in the harvest period, we organize the initiative "Farmer for a day". Lately, the farm has been experimenting with the cultivation of Trasimeno beans (fagiolina), Slow Food presidium.

Caseificio Fontemanna (only available in Italian): A few minutes away from “Il Piccolo Noce”, you can visit the farm Meloni,originally from Sardinia, offers cheese, yogurt made according to tradition without losing sight of the values and principles of the past.


Da Elio - Ristorante: Before reaching Piegaro, a stop at the restaurant "Da Elio" is recommended for lovers of Umbrian cuisine, soups, grilled lamb, homemade umbricelli and much more await you, the atmosphere is homely and very nice, especially when the summer arrives and you can taste the dishes in the large garden.


Il Giardino dei Lauri: who love the contemporary art, should pay a visit to "IL Giardino dei Lauri" a charming place immersed in the countryside of Città della Pieve, which exhibits over 75 works, between inside and outside, of International emerging artists. The works displayed represent the most recent collection of Neapolitan Massimo Lauro and Angela, who personally take care of each choice. The space is the result of the conversion and renovation of a warehouse for wine making and offers to the visitors a delightful and unusual mix of the contemporary and the beautiful landscape typical of the area on the border between Umbria and Tuscany.
