Holidays time

The magical atmosphere of the Holidays is approaching, in our area and in the rest of Umbria there are many initiatives dedicated to Christmas, ]such as living nativity scenes, and handmade nativity scenes, several local craft Christmas markets. In our area, in the small village of Oro you can visit a nativity scene completely made with recycled material, in Piegaro at the Glass Museum you can attend creative workshops, there is a play (7.12), and a Christmas market in a Benedictine abbey of XII century (Sunday 14.12). And more, Christmas concerts in unique places such as the church of St. Bartholomew in Solomeo, whose organ was made in late 1700 by an artist from Perugia.

You should not forget the biggest Christmas tree in the world, which will be switched on, on December 7 in Gubbio, and it will stay on until the beginning of January, the tree is placed against a hill and is visible from a distance.

And then for the period of Epiphany, our small village Pietrafitta is working on a new initiative, the Befana of the Fishermen, the details are not yet known, but the day will be entirely dedicated to children with a lot of surprises, don't miss it !
