Umbria is definitely "a Region for the whole year," there are many events in the cities, and in the smaller and charming villages the whole year long , the popular festivals, festivals, exhibitions artistic and cultural performances, this list is our personal selection of some of the most important events, we regularly update this section to give you the latest information, at your arrival you will find a wide selection of what is happening on our territory in your apartment.

Although the great genius of Leonardo da Vinci was not born in Umbria, certainly deserves a note the fact that 2019 is the 500 anniversary of his death, the charming hamlet of Vinci is only two hours from us, soon we will publish the calendar of events that the municipality Di Vinci is preparing to celebrate this important anniversary and we are sure that you will want to visit it.

From the 14th to 16th of June, in Perugia, the fourth edition of the event, entitled "Perugia in 1416 will be held, a historical overview, focusing on the transition between the Middle Ages to the Renaissance of Perugia, in collaboration with the University, Academy Fine Arts, Conservatory, State Archives, with a view to a new life of the social structure of the city, the revival of art and traditional crafts, restoration of cultural connections and dialogue between the city and Territory. And in the beginning of autumn begins the various seasons of the prestigious theaters of Umbria , but also various events dedicated to food and wine : "I primi d’Italia” (Foligno from the 26th to the 29th of September) or “Cantine o Frantoi Aperti”, dedicated to the new pressed olive oil (end of October – beginning of December), but also black and white truffle (Città di Castello, Valtopina, Fabro) or saffron (in Città della Pieve or Cascia).

And then comes December, when the largest Christmas Tree in the world will be lighted up in Gubbio www.alberodigubbio.com, and the Orvieto Winter Jazz Festival, with countless live nativity, underground nativity (like in Città della Pieve and in Orvieto), but also small and handmade nativity like the one held in the small village of Oro, do not forget the different Christmas markets held in lovely villages close to the Trasimeno Lake or perched on the hills.
